Between the saltwater wilderness of Everglades National Park and the deep blue waters of the Florida Strait is Islamorada, made up of six islands: Plantation Key, Windley Key, Upper Matecumbe Key, Lower Matecumbe Key and the offshore islands of Indian Key and Lignumvitae Key.
Islamorada may be the only place on Earth where it is possible to catch blue water and flats species, all in the same day. The Florida Keys offer incredible opportunities for inshore and nearshore fishing to target Tarpon, Permit, Bonefish, Snook, Redfish, snapper, grouper, sharks, sailfish, cobia and many other sought after species. Access to the ocean-side flats, nearshore reefs and wrecks, and deep into Florida bay are all possible from the middle to upper keys.
Islamorada, Tavernier and Key largo are where we launch from. With endless shorelines, bays, flats, wrecks and blue water species, we can always get away from the crowds and give you a unique experience catching numerous species of fish on fly and light tackle. Whether you are experienced or a new saltwater angler, the Florida keys offer incredible fishing for all abilities.
Our inshore trips are out of an 18 ft poling skiff. These poling skiffs allow you to get into skinny water areas to sight fish tarpon, bonefish, permit, red fish, snook, and other shallow water species on fly and light tackle.
Our bay boat trips are all out of a 24 ft Pathfinder. This boat can handle family trips or group trips up to 5 anglers at a time. The bay boat allows us to fish shallow or venture out into deeper water to target all the reef and blue water species. Whether you want to be hardcore or go out for an easy day of fishing and fun we can accommodate.
Come relax at a resort in the keys and book a fishing trip with us at Flywater Expeditions!
